What I Wore: Monday, November 12, 2012

Rainy, blah Monday. I also had 2 classes to teach, desk shifts to swap out, etc. Blah times a million…

Also, just a quick update on 30×30 for January. I’ve chosen my items, taken pictures of all of them, and started organizing how I want my outfits. However, it takes about 45 years to put pictures on this blog (thanks to an around the world method I have to use in order not to have to buy more space on Picasa), so I may not have the selection post ready until later this week. Shoot, at the rate I’m going (as far as being behind), I may not even have the whole thing up until March or so. Le sigh.

The “artsy” shot

What I liked:

  • Quick and easy and warm on a rainy day
What I didn’t like:
  • The dress is a little worn looking. The perils of Goodwill, I suppose
Dress- Goodwill (can’t remember brand), tank top- Walmart, leggings- Target, boots- Christmas gift from Grandma

30×30 failure…and an opportunity for a new beginning!

I didn’t even make it off the ground with this one. I think it’s a combination of deciding to do it at the last minute and poor planning. However, there’s another opportunity to do it in January through this blog, and since I’ll have more than a day to plan it, I’m in for January. Woo hoo!

What I Wore: Friday, November 9, 2012

Yay for Friday and extreme matchy matchy syndrome. Seriously, would it have killed me to have worn a white t-shirt underneath this? Or a contrasting color? Sigh…

What I liked:
  • The cardigan and colors
What I didn’t like:
  • The matching was a little too much. I need to learn to take some fashion risks!
Cardigan- Goodwill (can’t remember brand), shirt- Walmart, pants- Old Navy, boots- Academy Sports

What I Wore: Thursday, November 8, 2012

This outfit has good intentions. I like the way purple looks on me, and this was an easy combo. However, the sleeves on this shirt are a weird length, so I felt like a T-Rex all day. T-Rexes are cool until you feel like one. Rawr.
Despite my best efforts, this one doesn’t want to rotate

Shoes and pants, pants and shoes

What I liked:
  • The color of this shirt
What I didn’t like:
  • The proportions of this outfit

What I Wore: Wednesday, November 7, 2012

I don’t really remember anything about today, so here are some pictures to enjoy. My goal over the next couple of weeks is to get caught up so I can start 2013 completely on track. I want to only be running a couple of days behind…not over a month. I’ll get there! And I’ll learn to use my camera too!

What I liked:
  • The idea of this outfit
  • The pockets on my cardigan (it’s the little things really…)
What I didn’t like:
  • I wish the brown in the shirt would’ve matched the cardigan a little better but it was good enough overall!

Cardigan- Burke’s Outlet, shirt- Jones New York via Goodwill, pants- Target, boots- Marti and Liz

What I Wore: Tuesday, November 6, 2012

I was running so late this morning, and in my lateness, I managed to get peanut butter all over the bottom of the pants I was originally planning to wear (they were black with blue and white pinstripes). These were a last minute substitution that I’m not happy with. Plus, when I got to work, I got peanut butter on these too. What are the odds? Maybe my peanut butter is trying to help me weed my wardrobe…

The expression says it all…

Shoe shot!
What I liked:
  • My shoes and jewelry
What I didn’t like:
  • Everything else. Blah.

Can’t remember much about today. Guess that’s what happens when you don’t do the post until a month after the actual day…

Blurry side shot
These poor shoes seem to be on their last leg…

What I liked:

  • The whole outfit was easy and comfortable, yet looked professional (although you can’t tell with the blurry picture…and that was the best one of the lot…sigh…)
What I didn’t like:
  • Can’t think of anything besides my sad looking shoes…
Sweater- Ann Taylor from a friend, tank top- Old Navy, pants- Goodwill, shoes- Me Too
